On 27 August, GlobalCapital plc published its 2009 interim results showing a net loss after tax of €2.3 million compared to a loss of €4.4 million registered in the corresponding period of 2008. The positive balance from insurance activities, the improvements in the Group’s investment portfolio and the reduced administrative expenses were offset by lower commissions and fees receivable and no gains on investment property.
The Directors did not declare an interim dividend.
