Rizzo, Farrugia & Co. (Stockbrokers) Ltd (RFC) was set up in September 1991. It holds a category 2 investment services licence issued by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) regulating the provision of stockbroking, investment advisory, portfolio management and nominee services. It is authorized to hold and / or control client money and assets in the provision of these services.
Additionally, RFC is one of the founder members of the Malta Stock Exchange and commands the largest market share in trading of locally listed equities. In terms of international stockbroking, the company has arrangements in place with third party correspondents who enable us to deal as agents in global bonds, shares, ETF’s and selective funds in almost all major currencies.
The company’s owners, Vincent J Rizzo and Karol Farrugia bring over thirty years’ experience to the market sharing their knowledge and expertise with a continuously growing client base consisting of retail, corporate, high net worth and institutional investors. Prior to 1991, investment consultancy services were offered through Financial + Investment Services Ltd, a sister company in existence since 1975. Its client base is largely composed of a relatively small number of high net worth local and foreign individuals and corporate clients.
The executive management team, all being family members, ensure that long term client relationships are built by applying optimal standards at all times. We believe that our experience, reliability and confidential approach place us at the forefront of the local investment services industry and make us indeed, “Your Investment Consultants”. We have a genuine personal interest in clients’ well being and always place clients’ interests first. The family members are backed by a dedicated and loyal team of a further 12 individuals having different levels of competence and experience.
Our experience and knowledge of the local capital market is partly attributable to the successful 10-year advisory agreement to Insight Investment Management of London (previously Rothschilds) in the advisory portfolio management of Malta’s largest collective investment schemes.
RFC has also assisted a number of companies in their public offerings and private placements including acting as adviser to HSBC Bank Malta plc, Malta International Airport plc, FIMBank plc, MaltaPost plc, Bank of Valletta plc, Tumas Investments plc and Melita Capital plc.
